The San Diego Chargers had a scare yesterday when veteran wide receiver Malcom Floyd went down on the field with a leg injury. The play happened when Floyd and Shareece Wright got tangled up in the back of the end zone, and Floyd fell awkwardly on his leg. Just a week ago the Chargers lost wide receiver Danario Alexander to a torn ACL, and feared that Floyd might be lost for the season with a similar injury. The Chargers enjoyed hearing that Floyd suffered a knee strain rather than a season ending injury. There is no timetable for Floyd’s return, but the Chargers hope to have him for the season opener against the Houston Texans.
