I've admitted many times on the show that I feel detached from this year's March Madness. However I did expect, by the time the Final Four arrived, to be back on board and excited for the matchups. A lot of times excitement for these games comes about because we have guests on to discuss the matchups so we need to prepare and it leads to curiosity.
Yet with the scandals this week, it steals the attention away from the root of why we're here, the games. The only way to save it is a dramatic moment. Maybe a buzzer beater, or a 40 point performance.
Even more discouraging is that it's been all collegiate related this week. College football is heading towards the realm of steroid users. Meaning when a football program has success, we now immediately assume corruption. Just like when a guy hits 40 HR's, we wonder about PED's.
Corruption in college football is here for good.
