The brawl in
Zack Grienke as much as the next guy but pitchers cannot throw at guys heads, even when it’s retaliatory. Period, end of discussion. I think the Yasiel Puig was domed unintentionally and that’s what got it going. As far as brawls are concerned, the San Diego
Padres/Atlanta Braves mess in 1984 was epic, as was the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox dust-up that started when Lou Pinella nailed Carlton Fisk at home plate and Fisk just started unloading bombs on Pinella. Pitcher Bill Lee and Craig Nettles kept punching each other in that one, too.
I was a “yard attendant” at my son’s school this morning, for their Water Day shenanigans on the play field. Of course my son pezzed me with a water balloon and my butt is still soaking wet as I type this. Not cool, Topher.
Talk to you Monday.
