Matty's Minute

What a night!

I must admit that any draft from any sport always excites me, each one of them is unique in their own way, but I must say watching the NBA Draft last night was a site to see.  To see all the young men get dressed up in their suits in all their innocence but yet these players to get drafted by these teams are about to embark on either an illustrious career or one of great dissapointment.  I always go back to the draft from past years, guys like Todd Fuller, Mark Macon, Eddy Curry and Bryant "big country" Reeves where most NBA Draft experts said these are guys that are going to lead their franchises to great futures only to dissapoint, but then I see young men like Tim Duncan, Elton Brand, Deron Williams and Dwight Howard who were not always thought of as guys who have talent to be good but not great lead their teams to unparralled success and championships.  The one thing that I take from last night is the suits that were out in force, they are always good for conversation.  I think the prize for most unorthodox or out of the ordinary suit goes to Texas A&M center DeAndre Jordan.  Plus it was not a good thing that the young man had to sit in the green room amongst all the rabid Knicks fans until pick #35.  But at least DeAndre will be noticed for something other than his 1.5 blocks per game!
